Position Overview

The Document Management Coordinator will support and assist Kiewit Engineers with the management of engineering documents in accordance with government/company regulations for various design projects.

Power district

, which includes structural, civil, piping, mechanical, process, process safety, electrical, instrument and control disciplines, is a multi-faceted division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the EPC delivery model for power facilities. We offer a variety of engineering services, including owner's engineering, project development, detailed engineering and design, construction management and plant services.

Location

This position is based out of our Lenexa, KS office.

Responsibilities

The Document Management Coordinator position is primarily responsible for processing and managing internal and external distribution of engineering documentation on incoming and outgoing workflows and preparing transmittals for document distribution as directed. Other duties include updating and maintaining engineering document management systems; updating and maintaining various distribution matrices and document trackers for engineering records; following processes and standards to ensure adherence to project requirements; providing overall administrative support to the project team.

Qualifications

Required Experience

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to

identify and utilize the correct tools, systems and techniques to index, files, and manage engineering documents

remain flexible when dealing with changing requirements

multi-task and work proactively to resolve issues

work independently

Effectively collaborate with others in a team-based environment

Preferred Experience

Associates degree with a concentration in Information Management, Information Technology, Data Management, or Computer Information Systems

Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, or Smartsheet

EDMS such as InEight Document, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Documentum

Other Requirements:

Regular, reliable attendance

Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.

Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.

Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
