Engineering Field Technician, Level 1 (West Palm Beach Area)

Grindley Williams Engineering (GWE) is expanding our team in the West Palm Beach area! We’re seeking a motivated Engineering Field Technician I to support our Professional Engineers and Building Consultants in the field as they conduct forensic engineering inspections on both residential and commercial properties.

This is an entry-level, field-based position, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the go, thrives in a hands-on role, and is looking to grow their career in the engineering field.

What You’ll Do:

• Travel to inspection sites with the assigned Professional Engineer or Business Consultant


• Assist with forensic engineering investigations and data collection (e.g., photography, note-taking)


• Learn and apply forensic engineering terminology and methodology


• Communicate and coordinate effectively with engineering staff


• Draft engineering reports as needed


• Travel overnight as needed, including occasional weekends (especially in response to storm events)


• Support the team with other duties as assigned
  

What We’re Looking For:

• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic


• Comfort with travel and fieldwork, including occasional long days


• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record


• Willingness to obtain necessary licenses or certifications


• Drone pilot license is a plus, but not required
