Engineering Manager

Description

We're seeking a dynamic and solution-oriented Engineering Manager with experience in injection molding and tooling to provide technical expertise to our engineering department. This role is a hands-on role where your engineering talent will be utilized to solve problems and collaborate cross-functionally in order to deliver an on-time and on-budget product to our customers, while managing profitability for the business. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide technical direction and leadership to ensure that tooling and product designs meet manufacturing costs and customer specifications, expectations and due dates.
• Provide technical assistance and documentation in delivery, design, tooling, materials and methods related to manufacturing
• Resolves manufacturing problems related to tooling and design
• Provides support to customers with regard to implementation 

Requirements

10+ years in the plastic injection molding sector with a minimum 5 years’ experience related to product design and development of new products. Program/project management, ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents/drawings.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams.  Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.  Design software such as SolidWorks, tooling design and thorough understanding of the injection molding process. Lean manufacturing principles.  Able to manage multiple time sensitive priorities/projects. Analytical and critical thinking in order solve complex problems.
