Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all Engineering personnel including administrative, hourly, and salaried positions. This role is key to advancing our reputation for high-performance, reliable fluid filtration and ensuring we remain a leader in the hydraulic and lubrication filtration industry.

You will make an impact in this role with the following skills and responsibilities:

Leadership

• Manage a team of mechanical engineers and drafters in the design, testing, and development of hydraulic and lubrication filters and elements.
• Oversee engineering project execution from concept through production, ensuring quality, cost, and timing objectives are met.
• Serve as the technical expert for design of injection molded, cast, machined, and formed components using GD&T.

Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and sales to ensure smooth product launch and support.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence by driving design reviews, DFMEAs, root cause analysis, and lessons learned (APQP).
• Manage team workloads, set priorities, and develop engineering resource plans in alignment with business goals by coordinating with internal and external customers.

Oversight

• Develop and maintain engineering standards, test procedures, documentation, and validation protocols specific to hydraulic components and systems.
• Coach, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for team members; identify training and development needs.

Vision

• Look at current practices and technology and create plans to implement new technologies to improve efficiency within the group.
• Develop path for new product development through coordination with sales and product management.

To be considered for the Engineering Manager role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or fluid power engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic components.
• Experience with industry standards such as ISO, NFPA, and SAE related to hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and people leadership skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems and product development processes.
