Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineering Manager 2 \u2013 Structural Analysis for the Melbourne Vehicle Engineering organization, reporting to the Supplier MRB Department Manager in Melbourne, FL on the 9/80 shift, 1st shift.\n\n * The manager will lead a growing team of structural analysis engineers and will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to structural analysis.\n\n * The manager will work 80% of their time in the structural analysis engineering discipline, as directed by the Vehicle Engineering program IPT Lead.\n\n * The manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with each individual contributor\u2019s execution lead in Palmdale, CA. Functional home room support, approximately 20% of the manager\u2019s time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1 meetings, and holding performance review discussions. \n\n * Supporting relevant VE Northrop Grumman Aeronautical Systems Community of Practice is expected.\n\n\n\n\nOur leaders at Northrop Grumman live our values daily and encourage our teams to do the same. Finally, We pioneer: setting a vision that shapes the future and inspires others.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 9 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master\u0027s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 7 years of related professional/military experience\n\n * Demonstrated excellence in the field of structural analysis.\n\n * Experience in a technical leadership/management role.\n\n * Must have an Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment. This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree and/or an Advanced Degree in Aerospace, Civil, and/or Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of structural analysis experience.\n\n * Experience with BTP development, applicable notes, BOM, sign-off process.\n\n * Experience with CPLM, Teamcenter, CATIA, NX-CAD, and/or similar CAD packages.\n\n * Experience with Staffing Forecasting.\n\n * Experience leading an engineering team within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.\n\n * Experience with manufacturing and/or flight test processes.\n\n * Experience working Special Access Programs.\n\n * Top Secret Clearance\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
