Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman\u2019s Space Sector is seeking an Engineering Manager \u2013 Level 2 to join our team in Promontory, UT. \n\nThe Engineering Manager will manage a team of PQE (Procurement Quality Engineers) within the Supply Chain Quality Organization setting \u0026 operating to objectives \u0026 providing guidance, training and support based on supply chain quality goals, objectives \u0026 company policy.\n\nThis position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.\n\nIn this job, you will:\n\n * Provide mentoring, career development and guidance to staff helping them reach their potential\n\n * Coordinating and collaborating with programs to ensure supplier quality team is engaged with program.\n\n * Collaborate with supply chain organization to develop and maintain strategic quality initiatives for the supply base ensure greater quality success\n\n * Work on problem solving and failure investigations to drive process control and first time quality\n\n * Drive timely and clearly communicated decisions and recommendations to all stake holders\n\n * Act as primary interface between NG and suppliers for supplier related quality initiatives and improvements\n\n * Other duties as assigned\n\n\n\n\nThis position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * STEM Bachelor\u2019s degree with 8 years of relevant experience \u2013 OR \u2013 STEM Master\u2019s degree with 6 years of relevant experience with Aerospace and Defense. \n\n\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance\n\n\n\n * Must have 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.\n\n * Experience in Quality or Mission Assurance.\n\n * Experience with Supply Chain Quality.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * 5+ years\u2019 experience in quality or mission assurance position\n\n * Knowledge of MRP systems\n\n * Knowledge of configuration management systems and processes\n\n\n\n\nAs a leader with integrity, you ensure ethical conduct, balanced results, and partner satisfaction. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
