Come be a part of what\u2019s next.\n\nThe Pricing Catalog \u0026 Offers (PCO) team builds high-throughput, low-latency backend systems that power Netflix\u2019s Commerce initiatives and are a critical part of the sign up and acquisition flows. This team is responsible for the price catalog, rolling out price changes, proactively targeting members for increasing monetization and being the source of truth for all offers. Our vision is to create a flexible product platform that not only enables our product team to rapidly innovate and quickly capture monetization opportunities but also be able to scale to future commerce use cases and complexities that Netflix might have to deal with. \n\nThis team sits at the cross-section of product, engineering, data, and science, and you will play a highly cross-functional role partnering with product engineering teams, cross-domain partners, business analytics, product management, machine learning, and data teams to ensure that our services are functionally and operationally excellent.\n\nWe are looking for an engineering leader to guide our team in developing this product platform. This leader will be instrumental in advancing the state of the art for our Price Catalog, Targeting and Offers platform. We are looking for someone who is technically proficient and can cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment, mentoring a diverse team of engineers with varying levels of experience. The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker focused on enhancing our architecture to unlock new product capabilities and drive business impact. Above all, this leader should embody Netflix\u2019s core values, promoting creativity, curiosity, innovation and excellence.\n\n## In this role, you will:\n\n * Lead a team of strong engineers building critical, high-scale systems.\n\n * Drive architecture, design, and execution of product infrastructure systems.\n\n * Develop a strategic roadmap focused on incremental delivery and high business impact.\n\n * Define success metrics, align migration goals, and drive platform adoption.\n\n * Communicate progress effectively to stakeholders, customers, and senior leadership.\n\n * Balance platform evolution by maintaining existing systems while prioritizing next-gen development.\n\n * Hire, mentor, and grow a diverse, high-performing team, fostering an inclusive team culture.\n\n\n\n\n## What we are looking for in you:\n\n * An engineering leader with 4 - 6 years of experience leading backend distributed systems teams, platform experience is a plus.\n\n * Previous experience in building commerce systems in the Offers, Discounts or Pricing space.\n\n * A track record of hiring diverse, highly talented engineers and growing successful, highly impactful teams.\n\n * A leadership style that prioritizes giving and receiving feedback, fostering new ideas, and empowering others, without micromanagement.\n\n * Ability to balance operating inwards to lead a high performing engineering team with operating outwards to build strong and effective partner relations.\n\n * Strong technical acumen and ability to act as a technical advisor to the team.\n\n * Focus on operational excellence of large Tier-0 systems.\n\n * Excellence in communicating context with the team, stakeholders, partners, and leadership. Ability to drive the team\u2019s roadmap by connecting the dots between your team\u2019s work and business needs, managing expectations, and navigating competing priorities.\n\n * A BS or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline.\n\n\n\n\nGenerally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $436,000.00 - $791,000.00.\n\nNetflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
