Job Description - Engineering Project Coordinator

Overview and Essential Functions

A successful Project Coordinator shall be responsible for the overall coordination of a project to assist with maintaining the accuracy, timeliness, and profitability of all assigned engineering projects. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network design; ability to use ARCGIS and other office related equipment, familiarity with telecommunications design software; ability to read, understand, interpret, input and analyze data.

In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:

ability to work safely, with or without supervision;

ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness

ability to coordinate the activities of others, as well as organize work loads and determine priority of duties

excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, Exceptional critical thinking ability

ability to read and understand highway/road prints and identify conflicts with outside plant facilities

ability to perform independently with minimal supervision, exercising latitude to achieve daily objectives

excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work seated at a table for extended periods

Responsibilities:

Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance

Develop processes to ensure completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project(s)

Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project(s)

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 2 years of related work experience

Proficient in the use of hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, IKE, ArcMap, Ocalc Pro, CAD, ArcGIS, Google, etc.)

Proficient in assigned function (Drafting, Designing, Make Ready, Geographic Information Systems, etc.)

Authorized to work in the United States

Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check

Work Environment:

To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Work is performed indoors and in a typical office environment.
