This is an exciting and crucial role to the success of Stryker Production. In this role one will need to listen, anticipate, collaborate, plan, follow up and follow through on various activities supporting the Stryker Production Contract.

Position Responsibilities:

Leading the team through the evaluation, prioritization and resolution of problem reports in alignment with the needs of the Stryker Production Program to maintain on-time delivery of vehicles to the customer.
Ensuring high quality corrective actions are developed, validated, and approved through the GDLS change and validation process.
Planning for and managing of individual projects that pose a significant risk to the production program.
Providing oversight to ESIP team members executing projects within agreed upon scope, schedule, and budget.
Facilitating technical communication to other functional organizations (PMO, SCM, M&CS, Finance, etc.) as necessary to ensure successful problem resolution and collaboration.
Identification and elevation of risks to Engineering Leadership and Program Office in a timely manner.
Develop and present executive level summaries to various levels of GDLS leadership, and the Customer.
Forecasting and review of engineering demand working on ESIP efforts.
Maintenance of metrics for monitoring project performance.
Leading proposal and contracting activities as required for Engineering areas of responsibility.
Facilitating and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with:

The Stryker Customer
The manufacturing facilities
Other functional organizations with in GDLS

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, manufacturing or computer engineering preferred.

Other technical & business degrees will be considered with relevant experience.
Advanced/additional degree in business administration a plus.

15+ years relevant experience in the engineering/defense industries.

Less years may be considered based on advanced degrees.

Demonstrated project engineering and/or program experience.
Proven experience in technical interface with customers and ability to lead multi-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
Organizational capabilities to direct and lead others in a team based and collaborative environment.
Analytical skills and ability to direct and consult on technical issues and corrective actions.
Willing to travel (domestic and/or foreign) as needed.
Proficiency in Windows OS & Microsoft Office with adequate computer skills to manage the development of presentations and other methods of media display.
Knowledge of business finances, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), scheduling tools, and critical path analysis.
Significant experience with US Government programs
Knowledge of GDLS products, processes, and capabilities
