Engineering Services Manager Manufacturing & Maintenance

Location: Elmira, NY (Relocation Assistance Provided)
Compensation: $140,000 $155,000 base + 10% target bonus

About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Services Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, and engineering operations at a large-scale glass container manufacturing facility. This highly visible leadership role oversees predictive and preventive maintenance programs, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safety, efficiency, and long-term reliability of plant operations.

Youll manage a talented teamincluding three direct reports (Project Engineer, Plant Engineer, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor) and approximately 75 indirect skilled trade employeeswhile driving engineering excellence and operational performance in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engineering services to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.

• Develop, implement, and manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs.

• Direct large-scale equipment installations, rebuilds, and process improvements.

• Audit and optimize mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.

• Manage capital projects, budgets, and contractor specifications.

• Oversee critical systems for raw materials, power distribution, fire protection, and environmental controls.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and technical training to supervisors, skilled trades, and plant staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred.

• 7+ years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong technical expertise in electrical systems, electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical equipment.

• Proven leadership in high-volume, continuous manufacturing operations.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and plant management systems.
