Apply Today! \n\nWhere You Will Work \n\nLocated approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode. \n\nMorenci is a unique company town where our employees and their families can reconnect with nature through hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and numerous parks. Visit the Morenci town website to learn more. \n\n## What You Will Do\n\nUnder close supervision, you assist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated engineering projects and programs at the assigned site. You assist in the review, investigation and development of appropriate recommendations regarding assigned engineering projects. You participate on small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment. You develop a working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations appropriate to the area of assignment and perform other duties as required.\n\n## What You Bring To Freeport\n\n * High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of Engineering experience\n\n\n\nOR\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a Scientific discipline\n\n\n\n## Preferred Qualifications\n\n * Supervisory experience\n * Identify and drive safety improvements\n * Complete continuous improvement projects\n * Familiar with Excel and PiVision\n\n\n\nWhat We Offer You \n\nThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $78,500-$107,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
