Engineering Support Team Technician

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We make an extraordinary product. Some might say it defies physics! As our Engineering Support Team Technician, you’ll work closely with the Product Development and R&D engineers to develop the next great Seakeeper product. You’ll have an immediate impact to our Engineering efforts by:

• Collaborating with a team of product engineers with mechanical, electrical and software specialties to continue innovating Seakeeper’s core technologies to deliver new products with challenging expectations in a timely manner


• Assembling items by referencing blueprints and parts lists as well as gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials


• Inspecting & investigating individual components or assemblies to understand potential failure modes


• Working with engineers to utilize parts for initial validation but also addressing product findings outside specifications with Quality 


• Taking daily notes, which the Gyro Engineering Team will reference, in regard to builds, teardowns & inspections 


• Troubleshooting and advising alternative solutions to achieve product goals


• Maintaining equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and advising external repair needs


• Following job safety parameters and maintaining a clean & safe working environment

MUST-HAVES

• High school diploma or equivalent 


• Be mechanically inclined 


• Possess quality focus, sound judgment and decision-making skills


• Flexible and agile with the ability to pivot quickly to changing priorities


• Self-motivated team player and highly motivated to make a difference


• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times


• Able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks and adhere with standard operating procedures and job safety parameters 


• Ability to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: 
  
  
  
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally
  
  
  • Stand or walk for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts) on concrete or other hard surfaces
  
  
  • Perform frequent repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, and gripping
  
  
  • Use hands and fingers to handle small parts, operate tools or controls, and assemble products with precision
  
  
  • Visually inspect products for defects, labels, or measurements
  
  
  • Distinguish sounds such as machinery alarms, beeps, or spoken instructions in a noisy environment
  
  
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear

• Experience using NetSuite and/or Wrike

MORE DETAILS YOU’LL WANT TO KNOW

• You’ll be based in our Leesport, PA facility full-time


• Working hours are a start time anywhere from 6 - 8 am and this is an 8.5-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch break 


• On-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Seakeeper expert!)


• You’ll report to the EST Manager, also based in PA


• This is a manual labor position, working in a manufacturing environment

YOUR TEAM

Our EST (engineering support team) group is nestled within our Gyro Product Engineering department. It is a small, but mighty team that covers a lot of ground. The department is comprised of engineers with varying backgrounds and specialties including hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, software, controls and more with a heavy emphasis on collaboration.
