Job Description - Engineering Tech III- Temporary Assignment

A Day in the Life

As Engineering Technician III is differentiated by strong technical proficiency and hands-on experience, demonstrating advanced skills in wiring techniques, electrical harness assembly, and line fabrication, including setup, routing, and component integration. This level shows proven capability in both mechanical and electrical assembly for production builds, while consistently operating with efficiency and precision in fast-paced environments, ensuring strict adherence to EHS and quality standards.

         

         

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes and products.
  • Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment, or products.
  • Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.
  • Conducts, analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses.
  • Maintains process designs to optimize process, equipment and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent , vocational or technical education or certification .

Nice to Have: 

  • Strong proficiency in wiring techniques and electrical harness assembly.
  • Demonstrated experience in line fabrication, including setup, routing, and integration of components.
  • Proven capability in mechanical and electrical assembly for production builds.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast‑paced environments requiring precision and adherence to EHS and quality standards.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
