Position: Engineering Technician

Reports to: Department Manager

General Qualities:

 - Strong verbal and written communication skills

 - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to navigate company internet-based systems

 - Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to set a positive example for the team

Technical Responsibilities:

- Assist in the review and documentation of Condition Survey reports

- Conduct quality control reviews of both electronic and hard copy Condition Survey reports

- Create CDs and DVDs, assemble and copy reports, and assist in tracking and electronically documenting priority repairs and immediate actions

- Review and process submittals for the Structural Integrity Database

- Update the QAD Asset Management Inventory for inspected structures

- Coordinate the submission of Condition Survey reports and Immediate Action Memos to the relevant agency

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

- High School Diploma required. An associate degree in any technical field is desirable.

Experience:

- 2 years’ experience in Record Management or Administrative Assistant at an engineering/architecture/construction firm required

- Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills 

- Good organization skills and work ethics

- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc. 

- AutoCAD experience is a plus
