Description:

Support Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division with shipboard troubleshooting and installation services. This position will provide software and systems engineering, shipboard troubleshooting, installation, and program support services for NSWCPD DDG Modernization MCS Program.

Engineering Technician Specific duties include:

• Replace or repair shipboard hardware and electronic equipment including wiring harnesses, cable routing, terminal box wiring, connector pinouts.
• Troubleshoot various Hull, Mechanical & Engine equipment and determine impact from development and maintenance.
• Provide shipboard installation, troubleshooting and test assessments.

Requirements

Engineering Technician Required Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Trade School Diploma (related military experience can qualify as education)

Engineering Technician Target Experience:

• 7 years of professional experience as an Engineering Technician
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting, and tracing signals using electrical schematics and a digital multimeter to diagnose or isolate cause for electrical failures
• 2 years of experience as a lead engineering technician
• 2 years of experience with job related computer systems
• 3 years experience with PLC’s and National Instrument tools
