Engineering Technician 2

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. High School diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in defense industry US Citizenship required Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance Minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience in the field of electronic assembly or testing Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects and resources in a laboratory environment Knowledge of mechanical, manufacturing, and development processes Ability to interpret 2D drawings Ability to troubleshoot components and systems Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office applications A minimum of 4 years of direct relevant experience in the field of electro-mechanics (assembly and/or testing) Active DoD Secret Security clearance Experience working in defense industry or high reliability product lane preferred Cable and harness assembly and test experience Understanding of basic schematics related to wiring of special test equipment Knowledge of basic mechanical systems and tools Experience working on unusually complex technical projects in a laboratory environment Work history demonstrating fine motor skills Willingness to work overtime when required; ~10%
