Engineering Technician 4

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. High School diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in defense industry US Citizenship required Active DoD Secret Security clearance Minimum of 6 years of direct relevant experience in the field of electronic assembly or testing Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects and resources in a laboratory environment Knowledge of mechanical, manufacturing, and development processes Ability to interpret 2D drawings Ability to troubleshoot components and systems Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office applications A minimum of 10 years of direct relevant experience in the field of electro-mechanics (assembly and/or testing) Experience reviewing engineering drawings for accuracy and completeness Cable and harness assembly and test experience Understanding of basic schematics related to wiring of special test equipment Manual machining experience and understanding of basic machining concepts Experience is supporting failure investigation involving complex disassembly Knowledge of basic mechanical systems and tools Experience working on unusually complex technical projects in a laboratory environment Work history demonstrating fine motor skills Willingness to work overtime when required; ~10%
