Job Summary: The Engineering Technician III will engage in the design, fabrication, assembly, inspection, and maintenance of precision tools and dies. The incumbent must demonstrate their proficiency in various areas related to tool and die making such as blueprint reading, metallurgy, machining processes, materials selection, tool design, grinding processes, heat treating processes, surface finishing techniques, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support Lean 5S initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity 

· Attend and contribute to discourse during team meetings and leverage senior team members for knowledge and direction  

· Safely operate manual equipment including but not limited to mills, lathes, precision grinders, bandsaws, punch presses

· Conceptualize, design and manufacture part holding fixtures for low and high-volume manufacturing processes 

· Coordinate the repair, rebuild and improvement of tooling, fixturing and machinery

· Responsible for quoting and project deadlines for new tooling, fixturing and machinery

· Provide technical training and support to machine operators and other team members to build team capabilities.

· Identify and complete purchase requisitions for required tooling and machine shop supplies including taps and end mills

· Support new product development and continuous improvement projects by collaborating with engineering and operations      teams to ensure project deadlines are achieved

· Be accountable for standard inspection equipment including but not limited to height stands, micrometer, calipers, and gaging

· Maintain productivity and professionalism when working independently and/or on a team 

· Uphold Valor standards and specifications

· Other duties as assigned

Application Process: We invite you to apply for the Engineering Technician Level Three position. This position requires use of information and data which is subject to US Export Regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 C.F.R. 120 et seq., and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 C.F.R. 730 et seq. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S Government.

Basic Qualifications:

· U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder

· Must pass initial and subsequent background checks 

· Must pass preemployment and subsequent drug screenings 

· Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “Employee Possessor” eligibility and Federal Prohibitor status regarding firearms 

· Possess knowledge of metallurgy, mathematics, blueprint reading

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel.

· AAS in Machining Technology, BS Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field or equivalent job experience. 

· Basic CAM software experience. 

Physical Requirements:

· RARE (less than 10%):  crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.

· OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing.

· FREQUENT (up to 66%):  walking, sitting, climbing on/off truck, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs.

· CONTINUOUS (up to 100%):  speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing speech-range, depth-perception.

This position works Monday - Thursday, 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

This position will remain open through 8 a.m. on May 5, 2025
