Engineering Technician - QA Specialist (TI-05)

Background check, US Citizenship, secret clearance, and CAC are requirements for this position.

The Tomahawk Weapon System provides surface combatants with a long-range, precision-guided land-attack cruise missile capability.   The Theater Mission Processing System (TMPC) provides for Tomahawk mission planning and distribution. The Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control Center (TTWCS) provides for the initialization, preparation, launch, and post-launch control of the missile.

The successful candidate will:
  • Provide engineering technical support for the program.
  • Provide engineering support for Quality Assurance (QA) inspections of   produced TTWCS and TMPC HW suites per documented procedures. This includes   creating and interpreting drawings.
  • Document the QA inspection using the provided checklist.
  • Develop a Standard Operating Process (SOP) for Tomahawk Production QA   process or provide process improvement recommendations to the current QA   inspection requirements as required.
  • Document and report issues to both Production and Hardware Leads.
  • Support general engineering as it pertains to HW design and HW production   as required.
  • Attend recurring HW, Production, and Logistics status meetings as required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read/develop drawings in support of the   associated task.
  • Provide additional general mechanical technical support as tasked.
  • Provide general basic electrical support as tasked to include the use of a   multimeter and other basic electrical equipment.
  • Preferred experience with cable-building is a plus.
  • Associated tasks will largely be conducted in a laboratory environment.

Education/Cerification Requirements:

• Three (3) to Five (5) years of technical experience in   either mechanical or electrical engineering support is required.
• A technical degree (either Associate or bachelor’s Level) in engineering or   science-based major is desirable
• Experience in performing Quality Assurance (QA) tasks is preferred.
