Engineering Technician Supervisor

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Engineering Technician Supervisor in Sumter, SC. Relocation assistance will be offered to candidates that reside 50 miles outside the Sumter, SC facility. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPosition Overview:\n\nThe Switchboard/Panelboard COE Engineering Technician Supervisor will be the initial contact point for the switchboard/panelboard production team with respect to any front-end issues or questions, as such pertains to drawings and bills-of-material. These specially trained individuals will be knowledgeable of the product and application, able to address the concerns of their internal stakeholders and address matters up to a certain point of complexity or root cause. \n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Support and assist assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems. Work in a collaborative effort with the assembly and front-end engineering teams to resolve problems that arise on the production floor. \n\u2022 Be located on the production floor in an effort to proactively provide immediate technical assistance to the production team and to be the liaison between production and engineering teams. \n\u2022 Prepare quality turnback\u2019s for the front-end team for unresolved issues that require COE, Bus Tech or Swbd Tech actions beyond what can be alleviated or resolved on the floor. This position becomes the funnel for these communications between the production, BidMan and engineering teams. \n\u2022 Prepare minor switchboard manufacturing information (MI) revisions, utilizing Bid Manager, Design Automation (DA) and AutoCAD to meet customer requirements. \n\u2022 Provide input to Bid Manager and Product Line Engineering development teams on design and pick table enhancements. \n\u2022 Work closely with front end engineers and technicians, through order reviews and process improvements, to ensure accurate interpretation of customer supplied order information. \n\u2022 Lead a team of three-five shopfloor technicians, assisting with issues or concerns.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelors degree in Engineering Graphics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering Technology from an accredited institution OR Associate\u2019s degree from an accredited institution or higher AND a minimum of one year of work experience on generating Bill of Materials (BOM) or drafting 2D drawings\n * Minimum 1 year of experience supporting manufacturing/operations/technical processes\n * Minimum 1 year of leadership experience managing people or project teams\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
