English teacher for children in Cary, NC

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for English Language Teachers to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in Cary, NC.

Class Information:

Back-to-Back Individual Classes for 2 siblings (Ages 5 and 8):

Address: Advancement Ave., Durham, North Carolina USA
o Availability: For now, Mon-Fri after 5pm
o Preferred start date: March 17th 
o Lesson Frequency: 2x per week
o Lesson Duration: 1h (per child)
o Student’s location: Cary, NC (27519)

Class 183361:

o          Age: 5 years old 
o     Current English level: Beginner
o     Native and other spoken languages: Native Spanish
o     Additional Information: She has English classes at kindergarten since she was 3, but they only learn colors, emotions, body parts, and more. She is not able to understand nor follow a conversation. She is REALLY interested in learning English, she listens very carefully when someone teaches her some new word or phrase. She’s a very enthusiastic learner. She likes fashion, clothing and make up, she likes to dress up like a princess and currently is taking dancing classes. She loves to dance and sing and to play with her friends. She enjoys riding her bike and being outside. She also likes Barbie and watches Roblox videos on YouTube, and other YouTubers. She likes Halloween, Christmas and other holidays.

Class 183362:

o Age: 8 years old
o Current target language level: Novice
o Native and other spoken languages: Spanish
o Student’s language needs and goals: Daily communication. Learning key works to make friends and ask for help during the first months.
o Additional Information: He has been studying English and is in contact with the language. He is a good student and is motivated to learn. He is interested in soccer, sports, crafts, painting and drawing, outdoor activities such as investigating insects and plants and the nature itself. He also likes videogames, LEGO, fishing, he likes going to the beach and all animals specially the ones that live in the sea. He likes music and he follows some YouTubers and tutorials. He likes Halloween, Christmas and other holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years' experience
