This role will directly support critical compliance programs across the site including, but not limited to RCRA hazardous waste, Air/Water permit compliance, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), the Spill Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan and others as assigned. \n\nYou will conduct EHS audits to assess the level of implementation \u0026 efficiency of the EHS management system, identify \u0026 recommend measures to close gaps and improve the management system, while working to continuously improve compliance programs. You will be collaborating closely with internal and external organizations on EHS compliance issues to help propel the business forward.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Build and implement vital programs that fulfill state, federal, and local requirements\n * Lead and collaborate with operational teams to achieve compliance and sustainability goals\n * Prepare compliance reports, quantify environmental impacts, and participate in regulatory inspections\n * Manage Air, Water, Stormwater General and Construction Permits, Spill control Countermeasures and Control Plan, and conduct inspections\n * Manage hazardous waste programs, schedule shipments, and conduct inspections\n * Lead compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and conformance with ISO14001\n * Represent Micron in a professional and effective manner to both internal and external parties\n * Provide oversight of Construction Project and General Contractors to ensure organizations\u2019 requirements are effectively implemented\n * Conduct environmental training for team members across the site\n * Respond to environmental issues and carry/answer the on-call phone when assigned\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree: Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental-related field\n * Experience: 1-3 years managing environmental compliance programs\n * Solid understanding of CWA, CAA, RCRA, CERCLA, and ISO14001\n * Strong data analysis, problem solving, interpersonal, and decision-making skills\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience leading small technical teams or multi-functional projects\n * Experience supporting regulatory inspections and external audits\n * Background in both construction and operational environmental compliance\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nEnvironmental Engineer 2 - Environmental Engineer 3\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
