Enrichment Extended Day Assistant

JOB PURPOSE:

This position will serve as an assistant/aide in the before and after school program: St. Mary Enrichment Extended Day (SMEED). The aide is expected to abide by the policies and procedures of the local school, the Archdiocese of Denver, and the Office of Catholic Schools. The aides cooperate with the director, principal and staff in providing an environment that promotes the ministry of Catholic education.

REPORTS TO: Direct Manager: SMEED Director

SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE: Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

TYPE: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week, pay dependent upon experience

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Part-time assistant for our before and after school care program (SMEED). 

We are a Preschool-8th grade school with an enrollment of 500 students.

• Support daily lessons in mathematics, social studies, science, language arts, and religion in concert with the classroom teachers; ? Provide playground supervision to ensure it is a safe environment for all;
• Demonstrate positive time management skills and strategies for supporting the students before and after school needs; 
• Communicate effectively with students, classroom teachers, parents, peer educators, and administrators
