Job Description - Entertainment Center Manager


JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Entertainment Center Manager

Reports to: General Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

The Entertainment Center Manager oversees the daily operations and guest experience across multiple entertainment amenities, including concessions, redemption center, arcade, bowling, pickleball, and movie theaters at The HUB Stillwater. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality service, maximizing revenue, maintaining equipment and facility standards, and leading staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational and people management skills, capable of balancing operational efficiency with guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties:

  • Direct and oversee operations for concessions, redemption center, arcade, bowling, pickleball, and movie theaters.
  • Hire, train, and supervise department staff, ensuring excellent guest service and adherence to company standards.
  • Manage scheduling and labor costs while maintaining optimal staffing levels across all entertainment departments.
  • Monitor performance metrics (sales, guest satisfaction, redemption rates, per-cap spending) and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Ensure all attractions, games, and equipment are properly maintained and operational; coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs.
  • Partner with Food & Beverage, and other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Develop and enforce safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards across all areas.
  • Implement promotions, leagues, and tournaments (e.g., bowling leagues, pickleball events, movie specials) in coordination with marketing.
  • Track and control operating budgets, expenses, and inventory (including concessions and redemption items).
  • Handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain high service recovery standards.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives, special events, and seasonal programming to drive attendance and revenue.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of management experience in entertainment, family fun centers, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing multiple departments or venues.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, labor management, and inventory control.
  • Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and attraction/arcade management software.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Working Conditions and Physical Environment:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Lift and move up to 30 lbs as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying noise levels.
  • Frequent interaction with guests in a public-facing role.
