Description

Join our welcoming team this summer at the Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC)! We're looking for a reliable and observant individual to help keep our community safe and secure. If you enjoy engaging with people, staying alert, and working outdoors, this could be the perfect seasonal opportunity for you. This is a seasonal position that pays $17-$18 per hour depending on experience. 

What You’ll Do:

• Greet all guests and staff entering the facility with a friendly, professional presence
• Monitor and respond to alerts from our Evolv electronic screening system
• Help ensure only authorized individuals enter the building
• Communicate regularly with security staff and front desk personnel
• Watch for and report any unusual or unsafe behavior
• Follow established emergency procedures when necessary
• Assist with access control and customer service when requested

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior customer service or security experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor
• Comfortable standing outdoors for extended periods
• Ability to assess situations and respond using sound judgment and protocol
• Must be dependable and able to work independently

Work Environment:

This role is outdoors, under a covered (but not enclosed) area. You’ll need to be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
