The Ideal Candidate

Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma is seeking an Entry-Level Technician to join our dynamic service department. This role is an excellent opportunity to start a rewarding career in automotive repair and grow into a Journey or Master-Level Technician. The ideal candidate will:

• Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations with precision and care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and perform repair orders from Service Advisor or Shop Foreman.
• Conduct thorough checks of customer vehicles, referring additional repair needs to the Service Advisor (e.g., battery life, lights, tires).
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment in a careful and professional manner.
• Inspect and adjust vehicle fluid levels.
• Check and adjust tire air pressure.
• Drain and refill engine oil and replace oil filters and air filters.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Service Manager.

Time Off & Holidays

Paid Time Off (PTO):

                           10+ years: 2.30 hours per 40 hours worked

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background
• Ability to communicate effectively with others. 
• Basic computer skills. 
• Basic mathematical aptitude
• Ability to understand and apply common sense.
• Clean driving record 
• Willing to submit to a drug screen.
