Our Client is seeking a Full Time Entry/Junior Level Business Development Representative to join their team in the solid waste industry with an office located in Rockport, Texas. This role is responsible for driving revenue by selling waste collection, recycling, and disposal services to commercial clients. The position blends relationship-building, consultative selling, and territory development to secure long-term customer partnerships. This role is open due to company growth and reports directly to the President of Sales. A base is offered with uncapped commission potential.
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and target new commercial accounts through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research.
Consultative Selling: Assess customer waste management needs and recommend customized service solutions (recycling programs, roll-off containers, scheduled pickups).
Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction while identifying upsell opportunities.
Territory Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue goals.
Proposals & Negotiation: Prepare pricing proposals, present service agreements, and negotiate contract terms to close new business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, customer service, and billing teams to ensure smooth service implementation.
Market Awareness: Stay informed about competitor activity, industry trends, and regulatory changes to refine sales strategies.
1--2 years of experience in Sales, Hospitality, or Customer Service.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the territory.
Reliable transportation.
Smartphone required.
