Position Summary
The Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day personnel, business, marketing, and financial operations, and working to improve them. Managers are self-starters who can operate autonomously with little to no daily direction. They can delegate, develop, plan, and execute all the functions of the job effectively and efficiently. They have a positive attitude and are strong leaders. Extra consideration is given to individuals who are fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages labor by creating, maintaining, and adjusting schedules for subordinates in a creative, timely and practical manner, while also:
Managing labor costs by scheduling according to sales, time of day, time of year, and considering things that can affect staffing such as sickness, tardiness, no-shows, and inclement weather.
Maintains appropriate staffing levels at all locations: recruits, interviews, hires, schedules, and trains new employees.
Makes corrections, reviews, and approves timecards.
Performs performance evaluations, MBO, develops personnel, sets goals, and monitors and documents the progress of each employee.
Processes time off requests and makes tough decisions when a conflict arises; while being fair, adaptive, accommodating, creative and understanding both employee and scheduling needs and demands.
Institutes progressive disciple and or corrective action plans and documents the process.
Reviews, understands, and adapts to financial reports and budgets, such as profit and loss statements, sales vs labor costs, changing inventory costs, and fluctuating sales trends.
Develops, maintains, and executes cash handling controls, security measures and procedures
Oversees quality control of all products from inventory coming into what is being served to the customer; making sure that at each step products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency
Monitors and controls inventory costs, spoilage, and waste
Must be able to follow, as well as develop, teach, and oversee execution of all health, safety and company policies and procedures.
Must ensure that the shop is always clean and safe.
Has a strong working knowledge of store marketing plan while also identifying, developing, and expanding current marketing and sales building strategies.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Works closely with all levels of staff including upper management, executive staff, and HR.
Sets strategic and attainable goals for every aspect of their position, always improving.

Qualifications and Skills
Excellent customer service and leadership skills with the ability to lead by example, delegate, give direction, guidance, praise, and constructive criticism
Ability to multitask, prioritize and adjust to changing priorities in a faced paced environment
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to access the root cause of a problem, and develop and implement a solution
Must have a good and positive attitude, be self-sufficient and have a hands-on approach
Must have a good understanding of all facets and responsibilities of each position under their supervision and the ability to perform them at the highest level as needed
Must be reliable, honest, hardworking, ethical and have a high level of integrity
Must be creative, innovative, self-motivated, and forward thinking
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of the company in a timeframe appropriate for the situation
Must have strong collaboration and team building skills
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a valid food handler and OLCC certification.
Must be available to work on the weekends
Physical Requirements and Job Conditions
Ability to stand and walk continually throughout the entire shift
Ability to lift, carry, deliver, and serve from trays weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout entire shift
Ability to balance a serving tray with one hand and distribute food with the other
Ability to bend, stoop and reach while carrying items up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment
Must have manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks
