We are currently seeking an Environment Compliance Analyst position to join our dynamic team in Clarksville, TN as part of the Safety, Health & Environment Team!
The Environment Associate support reviews and revises Environment policies, supports for environmental impact assessment and education. The Environment Associate is responsible for Chemical management, Environmental annual education plan establishment, progress, management, also Environment-related law trend /history management, record keeping and Environmental inspection and improvement.
This position pays $63,000
Responsibilities:
* Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental management system processes.
* Performs periodic checks of Environmental facility/equipment and maintains files of required documentation for regulatory compliance.
* Provide support for Environmental programs such as Hazard Communication, Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC), Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Hazmat, etc.
* Participates in on-site support and management related to recycling and waste handling
* Responsible for periodic reporting regarding waste.
* Audit site documentation control, records, data, logs, environment-related equipment and maintenance to ensure Environmental processes and procedures are being followed as well as compliant operation & maintenance of equipment is being done.
* Collect data on air emissions to ensure compliance with air regulations.
* Ensure that chemicals are stored in the right place and maintained properly.
* Perform all activities in responsible manner and support all EHS requirements, programs, policies, and procedures as necessary.
* Initiates and follows through on issue resolution as needed. (i.e. work order submittal and completion tracking)
* Attention to detail for all areas of work, especially in record-keeping and organization of projects; efficient in daily tasks.
* Environmental impact assessment and education support
* Environmental standards and written policy management support
* Preparation and update of the law register for Environment part support Environmental annual education plan establishment/progress/management
* Environment-related law trend analysis/history management.
* Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility. All other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering
* Minimum 1-2 years or more experience in the field
* Exceptional Communication: Including active speaking/listening, reading/writing skills in accordance with standard business practices and decorum; excellent relationship-building skills.
* Create documents using MS Office: Excel, Power point, and Word.
* Ability to complete tasks and remain flexible with process changes
* Critical Thinking / Troubleshooting: Using logic and reasoning to identify problems as well as the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
* Details: Must have attention to detail for all areas of work, especially in record-keeping and organization of projects; efficient in daily tasks.
* Ethical Behavior: Must maintain the highest ethical standards in the conduct of company affairs; must conduct business with integrity and comply with all applicable laws in a manner that excludes considerations of personal advantage or gain.
* Some occasional domestic travel required
