Bachelors degree, ideally health, safety and/or environmental
Air Permitting - local, state levels, and potentially federal
3+ years experience in health, safety and environment
OSHA general certificate or equivalent
Essential Functions
-Develops health and safety action plans (Annual Prevention Plan, Safety Action Plan) within the Group Health & Safety framework, tailored to the site's needs. Ensures validation and secures necessary resources (human, budgetary, technical, IT, etc.) for plan implementation.
-Oversees development of Group and site-specific health & safety action plans, standards, tools, and methods (e.g., internal audits, risk assessments). Monitors progress using pilot indicators.
-Proposes health & safety training plans to the Site HR Manager, oversees implementation, and conducts awareness campaigns.
-Advises and supports departments on daily health & safety issues, proposes preventive measures, and ensures compliance of equipment and facilities during project development. Organizes management safety visits and participates in safety audits.
-Ensures effective operation of Site Health, Safety, and Working Conditions Committees. Prepares, leads, and follows up on corrective actions.
-Ensures compliance with health & safety regulations across documentation, processes, and installations.
-Manages prevention plans in collaboration with technical services and organizes emergency drills. Implements preventive systems for hazardous equipment/installations (e.g., check-lists, training, maintenance supervision).
-Manages incidents, accidents, or risky situations by organizing analysis and implementing corrective actions. Handles communication with various levels within the organization.
-Maintains positive relations with relevant authorities and administrations (e.g., firefighters).
-Leads initiatives for continuous improvement in health & safety. Conducts technology surveillance in the field.
-Manages chemical risk assessments, including authorization of new products and application rules.
