Position Summary: |
The Manager, Environmental, Health, and Safety is responsible for leading the enterprise Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program across a global manufacturing organization with more than 20 locations with manufacturing, processing, assembly and distribution activities. This role provides strategic direction, governance, and oversight to a team of EHS supervisors and professionals while partnering with site leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, risk reduction, injury prevention, and the development of a strong safety culture. The Manager, EHS also establishes corporate standards, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures alignment with company objectives related to employee safety and environmental stewardship.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: |
|
Required:
Education: BS in engineering, business or related field
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in professional manufacturing position. 5+ years of supervisory experience.
Skills/Knowledge: Ability to handle complex problems and multiple projects. Ability to analyze risk and make sound business decisions. Excellent organizational abilities and prioritization processes. Must have demonstrated problem solving abilities. Requires strong oral and written communication skills. Must have basic computer skills. A strong understanding and working knowledge of manufacturing operations is required.
Preferred:
Knowledge/Skills: Specialized skill in the following areas is beneficial: OSHA safety practices, behavior-based safety programs, EPA and local environmental regulations, Emergency contingency planning, Sustainability, Budget management
