The EHS Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of company safety and environmental programs, policies, and processes in an effort to achieve a workplace free of work-related injuries and to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and/or company standards.

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or industrial management required; and a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a safety/security/environmental position with specific experience in working with OSHA compliance and building security.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Working knowledge of EAP, OSHA and other state/federal program requirements.
This job will require physical ability to get into and inspect remote structural areas, including roof and spaces in building ceiling. Requires inspection of rooftop cameras. Must be able to smell smoke and sewer gas, for example.
Work may require occasional lifting. Help will be made available at more than 75 lbs.
Duties may require the occasional use of/contact with/exposure to various hazardous materials (such as, but not limited to grease, oils, lubricants, paint, thinner, parts cleaner, etc.). Employees should have basic awareness of hazardous materials cautions. Those directly using the materials must have specific knowledge of material in use.
