Job Description:
Pay Range $28hr - $34hr
Responsibilities:- Conduct EHS walk through frequently including documentation and follow-up as needed.
- Complete monthly EHS reports.
- Support incident investigations including near-miss events, compliance issues, work-related injuries and/or illnesses.
- Support site's Ergonomics Program.
- Act as liaison to associates and others receiving or requesting ergonomic evaluations.
- Provide guidance on EHS Training Programs.
- Review associate EHS Observations.
- Support the sites Hazardous Waste Program
- Maintain working knowledge of local, State and Federal Regulations that apply to our operations including but not limited to Federal OSHA, EPA, and California Health and Safety Code.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of related experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, or biotech or medical device manufacturing environment with safety and/or environmental responsibilities.
- Experience working around hazardous waste programs strongly preferred.
- Familiar with Client, OSHA, EPA, RCRA, Air Quality, and Water Pollution regulations, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work and establish priorities.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Must be proficient in working with PCs. Requires good command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and the Internet.
- 3 years experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Ability to talk with folks, and communicate well both verbally and written.
- Ergonomics experience is preferred.
