Growing food manufacturer is looking for an EHS Manager to add to their team.
Role and Responsibilities
· Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
· Conduct periodic Safety Committee Meetings (Hazard Awareness, Training, Accident Review, etc.)
· Identify prevention, health and safety needs regarding risk assessment and legal requirements and recommend the required activities; develop policies, standards and procedures; ensure roll-out and the necessary training is conducted.
· Provide annual and department specific safety training or outsource as needed.
· Plan and conduct workplace management audits and inspections and recommend the appropriate corrective/preventative measures and actions; promote best practices.
· Investigate injuries as they occur and ensure all documentation is complete; advise management on problem correction.
· Design and implement a management dashboard (communication and follow-up)
· Work closely with Human Resources to discuss training needs, accidents/injuries, programs, etc.
Job Requirements:
· Familiarity with OSHA regulations
· Ability to utilize MS Office computer software
3+ years experience with Health and Safety Management
· Must be able to work both individually and in team setting; strong project management skills.
· Previous experience (3+ years) in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Associates’ degree in Risk Management (or related) preferred.
