Environmental Project Manager

Job Description - Environmental Project Manager

Full-time

Description

Join Nobis Group as an Environmental Project Manager — and Own Your Future

If you’re an experienced environmental professional ready to take on more impact, Nobis Group is where your expertise becomes ownership. As a 100% employee-owned firm, you’ll have a real stake in the projects you lead and the communities you help protect across New England.

We’re looking for an Environmental Project Manager who thrives on technical excellence, client partnership, and guiding teams through complex remediation and investigation work. Here, you’ll manage diverse environmental projects—soil and groundwater remediation, multimedia site investigations, Brownfields work, and more—while mentoring the next generation of environmental scientists and engineers in a collaborative, people-first culture.

Why Nobis Stands Out as an Employer-of-Choice:

  • You’re not just an employee—you’re an owner
  • Hybrid flexibility + generous PTO and floating holidays
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, 401k, parental leave)
  • Paid volunteer time and community-focused work
  • Real career growth through mentorship and leadership pathways
  • A supportive environment where your ideas matter
  • A multiple-year winner of New Hampshire’s Best Places to Work, earning a distinguished place in the Hall of Fame.

What You’ll Lead

You’ll be at the table from day one—supporting proposals, defining scopes, and building strong client relationships. You’ll manage budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables; oversee field investigations and remediation activities; guide project teams; and ensure regulatory compliance across CERCLA and state programs. You’ll also maintain high-quality project documentation and proactively manage scope changes and risks.

Requirements

What You Bring

· Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Geology, or related field (Master’s a plus)

· 5+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years of project management in remediation and site investigation (8+ years preferred)

· OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification

· P.E. or P.G. licensure strongly preferred

· Strong knowledge of NH regulations, CERCLA, remedial implementation, SAPs/QAPPs, and environmental compliance

· Experience with multimedia investigations, remedial alternatives evaluations, and remedial action implementation

· Familiarity with Deltek, GIS, and graphics software is a plus

If you’re ready to lead meaningful work, grow your career, and take ownership of your success, Nobis Group is ready to welcome you.

Build what matters—with a team that invests in you.

Nobis is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
