Environmental Services Assistant – Full-Time

Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Pay: $17.02–$18.05/hour, based on experience

In this role, you’ll help keep our community clean, comfortable, and welcoming for the residents who call Well-Spring home. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and enjoys being part of a supportive team.

What You’ll Do

As an Environmental Services Assistant, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment throughout our community. Responsibilities include:

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, stairways, and elevators


• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, doors, and other surfaces


• Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, mirrors, windows, and shower areas


• Sweep, mop, vacuum, disinfect, and maintain floors and carpets


• Spot clean walls, ceilings, baseboards, and other surfaces as needed


• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners


• Clean occupied and vacant resident rooms as assigned


• Maintain clean and organized custodial closets, carts, equipment, and supplies


• Properly label and safely use cleaning products and chemicals


• Follow safety procedures, including proper use of wet floor signs


• Operate standard cleaning equipment, including traditional and hip vacuums


• Assist with other Environmental Services duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar cleaning role is strongly preferred


• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid North Carolina driver’s license in order to operate Well-Spring golf carts


• Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment


• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize areas that need attention


• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent Monday–Friday schedule


• Able to work independently while also being a supportive team member


• Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift


• Able to follow cleaning procedures and safely use cleaning products and equipment


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
