Environmental Services Manager

Our Environmental Services (EVS) Department is consistently ranked among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare. As the Environmental Services Manager, you will manage a team of EVS caregivers to support our efforts to minimize infection and provide a clean and healthy atmosphere in which our patients can receive care needed. This ideal candidate in this role will have strong communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate with others to accomplish goals. This opportunity will not only help to advance your leadership skills but can act as a steppingstone to other roles such as Senior Manager and Regional Market Director. Even if you’ve never considered healthcare as your next step, you’ll find there are many paths to creating a career centered on what matters most to you.   

A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 7:00AM – 5:00PM. Checking in on weekends or after hours will be , as needed. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Implement short and long-term goals consistent with those of EVS and clinical units. 

• Manage quality assurance and performance improvement activities. 

• Interpret and ensure compliance with all appropriate codes and standards. 

• Provide direct supervision of assigned EVS team members. 

• Ensure that all members have a performance management program and that policies and procedures are consistently applied throughout the program. 

• Perform regular evaluation and mentoring of all team members. 

• Assist with the development and implementation of programs for the professional growth of members in areas of responsibility, both technical and behavioral. 

• Participate in the development of environmental services operating and capital budgets. 

• Increase efficiency and effectiveness of environmental services activities with a goal of decreasing expenses. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent 

• Four years of hospitality or housekeeping management experience, including two years of management experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree may substitute two years of management experience 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• Healthcare experience
