Description of Work

Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor II at the Healthcare Complex at a multi-custody male correctional facility, this position is responsible for the general cleaning and minor maintenance through the facility. Work is performed under limited supervision, guided by a daily schedule for general assignments and specific instruction for special assignments. Other duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Minimizing infestation, promoting/teaching sanitary conditions including cleanliness, removal of harmful organisms, and promoting healthy surroundings.

2. Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and for keeping a record of tools for tool control inventory purposes.

3. Being available for 8-hour work shifts with some weekend rotations to be discussed at time of interview.


(Salary Range: $31,200 - $46,991)

Management Preferences

• Documented experience environmental service tech/housekeeping in an institution, healthcare, or industrial/commercial setting.

• Documented experience using cleaning solutions and products.

• Documented experience with housekeeping/cleaning tools and equipment.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. The selected candidate may be selected to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staff coverage.
