Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The Environmental Supervisor IV, position number 37010137, is in the Division of Environmental Assessment and Restoration’s Biology Program in Tallahassee and will be responsible for managing six positions in the Bench Biology laboratory responsible for microbiology and chlorophyll analysis. Responsibilities include hiring and supervising staff, authorizing data, leading projects, and providing technical consulting. This work provides the department and other resource agencies with the highest quality laboratory services available.

Position of Special Trust Requirement:
This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position..
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with ≥16 semester credit hours in general microbiology and biology
• ≥2 years of microbiological analysis experience for a laboratory seeking or maintaining accreditation
Pay:
$ 4,734.50 per month
