Overview 

Helios Defense Solutions LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, is seeking multiple highly motivated and qualified EOD Instructors immediately on a contract basis to support U.S. NAVY EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL TRAINING AND EVALUATION UNIT ONE (EODTEU ONE) in Naval Base San Diego, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform various training services for EODTEU ONE. These services will include instruction of military and civilian personnel, related instructional support, and curriculum maintenance for courses/segments in the areas of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS), and Chemistry.

Requirements

- Be a graduate of a U.S. Armed Forces, EOD Technician NEC, MOS or AFSC producing course taught at NAVSCOLEOD or of a subject matter expertise expected to increase unit readiness in preparation for major combat operations. 

- Meet one of the following requirements in accordance with NETCINST 1500.5(Series) as acceptable forms of instructor training:

• Military service Instructor Training Course (ITC).
• Instructor training via an accredited academic institution.
• Academic credentialing (teacher/professor).
• Command Sponsored Instructor Development Training (IDT) Course.

- Be proficient in: 

• Effective communication and questioning techniques
• Adult learning theory and principles
• Instructional Delivery methods
• Lesson delivery performance laboratory
• Training environment management
• Interpersonal skills
• Evaluation and Feedback

- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED).

- Have successfully performed in their specific subject area of expertise or a US Armed forces active-duty EOD Technician billet for minimum of six years.

- Maintain currency in technical expertise and training techniques.

- Meet Navy High-Risk Training requirements

- Possess or qualify for a Security Clearance of SECRET

- Honorably Discharged from Active-Duty Military service if applicable.

- Possess valid CPR certification.

Pay Range:

The salary for this position is not 100% guaranteed.
