EP Lab Registered Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiac care and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves working closely with patients undergoing electrophysiological procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.

Duties

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab.
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of patients undergoing electrophysiological procedures.
• Perform IV insertion, triage, and emergency medicine as required.
• Administer gastric lavage and manage tube feeding for patients as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures, post-operative care, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities within a teaching hospital environment.

Skills

• Electrophysiology Procedures
• Proficient in emergency room protocols and dementia care practices.
• Strong ability to perform dermal fillers as part of patient care when applicable.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and respond appropriately during procedures.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring comfort and support throughout their experience.

Requirement:

• Certs - ACLS, BLS
• 5 years experience required.

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) Monday-Thursday

Charting System: EPIC Required

Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital
