About The Role

Vermeer Midwest is seeking a highly organized and proactive Equipment Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory, and distribution of all whole goods and rental equipment.  This key role ensures that the right equipment is available across all divisions to meet customer and sales needs.  You’ll collaborate closely with vendors, leadership, and internal teams to optimize equipment availability, forecasting, and utilization.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the ordering of equipment from Vermeer and other vendors.


• Conduct internal, factory, and dealer equipment searches to meet sales and rental demands.


• Analyze sales and rental history to forecast and assign equipment purchases in collaboration with GMs and Territory Managers.


• Coordinate inter-division equipment transfers to support logistical efficiency and sales opportunities.


• Monitor inventory reports and develop plans to reduce aged inventory and achieve inventory turn goals.


• Track and improve rental equipment utilization rates.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.


• 1-4 years of related experience in equipment management, vendor relations, forecasting, or asset management.


• Experience in equipment industries and knowledge of equipment categories a plus.


• Understanding of asset depreciation, inventory aging, run rates, and turn targets preferred.


• Must pass background check, drug screen, and MVR check.
