Equipment Operator

Brick and Mortar Masonry LLC is a Florida based construction company specializing in masonry, concrete work, and structural building services. The company delivers residential and light commercial projects including bricklaying, concrete installation, repairs, and finishing. We are looking for a skilled and safety focused Equipment Operator to support construction and masonry projects. This role involves operating heavy machinery to assist with site preparation, material movement, and construction tasks. The ideal candidate will work closely with the crew to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and loaders for construction projects
• Assist with site preparation including grading, digging, and material handling
• Transport construction materials safely across job sites
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work closely with masons, laborers, and supervisors to support project progress
• Read and follow basic site plans and instructions
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience operating construction equipment such as skid steers or excavators
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed
