Equipment Operator Recycling Facility

Location: Mount Vernon, WA | On-site | Full-time

We’re looking for a reliable Equipment Operator to join our Mount Vernon recycling facility. This role is hands-on, supporting daily operations by safely operating heavy machinery, moving and processing materials, and helping maintain an efficient, safe work environment.

What You’ll Do

• Operate excavators, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.


• Perform daily safety checks and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.


• Load, unload, move, and organize recyclable materials throughout the facility.


• Review incoming materials and stage them in the appropriate location.


• Package and prepare materials for transport or processing.


• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.


• Interact with customers and team members in a professional, helpful manner.


• Look for ways to improve efficiency and support overall production flow.

What We’re Looking For

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy equipment and forklifts.


• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.


• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.


• Self-motivated and reliable with good attendance.


• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.


• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.


• Comfortable with exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery.
