Overview: Step into the forefront of selling innovation as an Equipment Sales Engineer at Modern Process Equipment (MPE). At MPE, we engineer cutting-edge equipment and plant systems that touch every aspect of daily life, from your morning cup of coffee to your favorite snack treats. With a rich history of serving renowned clients like Starbucks, Hershey, Keurig, Nestle, and many other leading brands, we are seeking passionate individuals to join our dynamic team. As an Equipment Sales Engineer, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and plant managers to develop and deliver solutions that truly impact and provide value.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales presentations and demonstrations: Delivering engaging presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers.
Understanding customer needs: Assessing customer challenges and proposing tailored solutions that align with their specific requirements.
Proposal and contract creation: Developing comprehensive proposals and negotiating contracts with customers.
Sales cycle management: Managing the entire sales process, from initial contact to successful closure, while collaborating with Engineering to ensure seamless integration of client solutions.
Building industry relationships: Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry alliances.
Managing assigned international rep offices: In addition to domestic direct sales responsibilities, you will oversee approximately 15 international rep offices worldwide.
Prospecting and lead generation: Identifying, qualifying, and pursuing potential customers and high-value target accounts within your territories and market segments.
Trade Show Representation: Showcasing MPE products at various global and domestic trade shows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or demonstrated technical interest and competence.
Experience or familiarity with industrial equipment and automation solutions required and experience with dry material processing equipment sales is preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
2+ years of relevant sales experience is preferred.
Strong customer relationship-building skills.
A team player at heart, demonstrating exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
