Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Technical Service Representative specializing in automotive collision repair equipment. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of specialized tools, including welders, frame racks, and rivet guns. With a focus on technical excellence and superior customer service, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clients and ensuring their equipment operates at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Installation and Maintenance

  • Install, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on automotive repair equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, replacing faulty components as needed.
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with technical standards and specifications.

Customer Engagement and Support

  • Actively listen to customers' technical concerns, providing clear and effective solutions.
  • Deliver timely, professional responses to inquiries, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Offer on-site training and guidance to customers on proper equipment use and maintenance.

Technical Expertise

  • Exhibit strong hands-on skills in diagnosing and repairing advanced collision repair equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on complex cases requiring additional analysis or resources.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
  • Prepare detailed reports for customers and management to ensure transparency and accountability.


Requirements

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of collision repair equipment, such as welders, frame racks, and rivet guns.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG) and adherence to safety standards.

Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a technician role, ideally within the collision repair industry.
  • Proven skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair.

Customer Service Skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
  • A commitment to customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for travel to customer locations.
  • Physical capability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to travel within the region for service appointments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in welding, electrical repair, or relevant automotive technologies.
  • Experience delivering technical training to customers or internal teams.
