In this role, you will be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of specialized tools, including welders, frame racks, and rivet guns. With a focus on technical excellence and superior customer service, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clients and ensuring their equipment operates at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Installation and Maintenance
Install, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on automotive repair equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, replacing faulty components as needed.
Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with technical standards and specifications.
Customer Engagement and Support
Actively listen to customers' technical concerns, providing clear and effective solutions.
Deliver timely, professional responses to inquiries, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Offer on-site training and guidance to customers on proper equipment use and maintenance.
Technical Expertise
Exhibit strong hands-on skills in diagnosing and repairing advanced collision repair equipment.
Collaborate with internal teams on complex cases requiring additional analysis or resources.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
Prepare detailed reports for customers and management to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of collision repair equipment, such as welders, frame racks, and rivet guns.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG) and adherence to safety standards.
Experience
3+ years of hands-on experience in a technician role, ideally within the collision repair industry.
Proven skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
Customer Service Skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
A commitment to customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for travel to customer locations.
Physical capability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Availability to travel within the region for service appointments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in welding, electrical repair, or relevant automotive technologies.
Experience delivering technical training to customers or internal teams.
