Job Description - Equipment Technician New Graduate (Community College)

This is an entry\u2011level, hands\u2011on role designed to launch your career in advanced manufacturing. You will support the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex manufacturing equipment while working alongside experienced technicians and engineers.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment\n * Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system issues\n * Assist with equipment startups, qualifications, and process improvements\n * Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and standard operating procedures\n * Accurately document work performed and equipment status in maintenance systems\n * Follow all safety, quality, and cleanroom/manufacturing protocols\n * Collaborate with engineering, production, and facilities teams\n * Participate in structured onboarding, technical training, and mentorship\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications: \n\nAssociate degree or recently completed certificate from a community or technical college in a relevant field such as: \n\n * Mechatronics\n * Electronics or Electrical Technology\n * Engineering Technology\n * Industrial Maintenance\n * Automation / Robotics\n * Manufacturing Technology\n * Automotive/HVAC/Aviation Technology\n\n\n\nAbility to work in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment\n\nBasic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems\n\nWillingness to work flexible schedules (including compressed work weeks, nights, or weekends if applicable)\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Not Required)\n\n * Internship, co\u2011op, lab, or capstone experience with industrial equipment\n * Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, sensors, vacuum systems, or hydraulics\n * Industry\u2011recognized credentials (or coursework aligned to): \n * SACA, MSSC CPT, or similar\n * Military technical training or equivalent hands\u2011on experience\n\n\n\nAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
