ER Nurse Manager

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulations.
• Manage staff performance, including recruiting, training, and mentoring nursing personnel.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
• Monitor patient flow and quality of care in the Emergency Department; implement improvements as needed.
• Serve as a resource for clinical staff, providing guidance and support in emergency care practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and encourage staff to pursue continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required); Master’s degree in Nursing or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of acute care hospital experience, including management/leadership roles.
• Experience in an emergency or critical care setting is preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Nebraska or eligible for licensure.
