Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED Current HealthCare Provider or Professional rescuer BLS CPR certifications required prior to completion of orientation Successful completion of one of the following: 1.Completion of previous STNA or CNA training or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training. 2.Direct patient care experience within the last five years: Performing fundamental skills of vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) & direct patient care activities ie. Bathing, turning/positioning, toileting 3.Currently enrolled in nursing school and completion of at least one clinical rotation. 4.EMT Basic Special Consideration: If the candidate has previous direct patient care experience, they may be excused from fundamental training (BCOP) upon completion of successful skills validation. This is in lieu of the above requirements.
