ERP Specialist

Position Summary

The Enterprise Systems Analyst leads internal initiatives to deliver technical support, enhance system performance, and optimize business processes for the organization’s Microsoft Dynamics environment. Serving as the primary bridge between business operations and IT, this role collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, manage application backlogs, document workflows, and ensure seamless system adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for the core ERP system, providing day-to-day functional support and troubleshooting reported issues.

• Partner with cross-functional business leads to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, map processes, and write actionable user stories for upcoming features and enhancements.

• Manage, prioritize, and groom the ERP request backlog within the ticketing platform, collaborating with development resources to escalate or deliver solutions.

• Author test cases, conduct rigorous pre-acceptance testing for system changes, and guide business users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Identify opportunities for system automation, evaluate third-party add-ins or integrations, and deliver end-user training to drive adoption and operational best practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

• Proven experience gathering business requirements, drafting functional specifications, and building process flow diagrams.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on delivering high-quality end-user support.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic background or professional experience in accounting or corporate finance.

• Experience supporting system environments governed by SOX compliance requirements.

• Background working within Agile project management frameworks using Jira and Confluence.

• Hands-on familiarity with ISV solutions, EDI, warehouse management systems (WMS), or specialized financial plug-ins.

• Experience supporting multi-currency, multi-entity, or inter-company business environments.
